This can be X security in the following cases (I do not know IPrint, so these are speculations):
1. IPrint by itself has no GUI but pops up a dialog if a password is needed. When started out of a sub shell of a certain application it is possible that the DISPLAY variable is not set for it and so it cannot open a window. 2. IPrint is run as another user than the user who is running the desktop. In general, independent of whether it is really an X security problem, this is a bug of IPrint. Please report the problem to the supplier from which you got IPrint. ** Changed in: cupsys (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- Iprint does not show password popup box. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/192095 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
