Ok, I found a solution - this may be silly, but works. I have added ip
addresses and host names of:
- exchange OWA server
- primary DC
- secondary DC
(last two for compatibility with GAL).

to /etc/hosts . I've done two entries for each of them ( one with the
sole host name, the other one as a fully qualified windows domain name,
eg. hostname.domainname.local ) and now it works flawlessly. I think
this proves that this is not bug in Exchange handling, but rather dns
server requests. I've started using hostname in stead of ipaddress for
OWA server. After all this, it miraculously started to work :-).
