Hi, I observe exactly the same symptoms - when I try subscribing to another person folder, I cannot access it because of "generic error". I have "full mailbox rights" to that other mailbox, so I don't have problems accessing it as http://exchange_server/exchange/other-mailbox using my own login credentials. I would be very happy to provide more info on this, only if you point me to what you may need :-)
