I just experienced this same crash in hardy alpha4 (plus all updates to date) and tracker 0.6.4-1ubuntu1 . I'm running amd64, and just installed earlier today.
This crash occurred less than a second after a new file was created on my desktop by gnome-obex-server (i.e. I sent a file to my laptop from my phone via bluetooth). Could this be a bug where tracker[-extract] tries to "hop on" files too quickly ... while they're still being written, or something? Both Joseph's and my crash seem to have happened right while files were being created. -- tracker-extract crashed with signal 5 in g_malloc() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
