Confirmed for me as well.
GPU: PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 (PCI ID 1002:7550)
Kernel: 7.0.0-42-generic
Affected firmware: linux-firmware-amd-graphics
20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu3.4
Symptoms: Black screen and repeated amdgpu DMCUB diagnostic errors
during boot.
Workaround: Booting with nomodeset allows the system to start, but
without normal GPU functionality.
Confirmed fix: Downgrading linux-firmware-amd-graphics from
0ubuntu3.4 to 0ubuntu3.3 and rebuilding initramfs completely restores
normal boot and graphics functionality. I am keeping version 0ubuntu3.3
installed until a corrected package is available.
