The autopkgtest link above shows: ``` 96s test/test_recompress.sh 96s ----------------------- 96s 96s I: install diffoscope to compare files beyond their hash 97s test_recompress_reduces_delta_size 99s 99s Ran [1;36m1[0m test. 99s 99s [1;32mOK[0m ```
I.e. the claimed error is not actually there. I tested building unpatched pristine-tar on s390x and running autopkgtest on them, and was able to reproduce the issue in test_recompress.sh only on Ubuntu Noble. Thus it seems that this patch that was now applied is unnecessary on Resolute/Stonking and can be removed. If might be useful only on Noble, but there is no need to update pristine-tar in Noble for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2138882 Title: [autopkgtest][resolute] s390x Test Failures on test_recompress.sh To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/2138882/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
