This is a very valid usability concern. The GRUB installation step should provide clearer information about the available disks and partitions instead of forcing users to go back and risk restarting the process. Showing both the installer partition number and the GRUB/Linux device notation would make the process much less confusing, especially for users handling multiple partitions.
