Upstream guy here. Hard to tell without the debug info, but the version shipping here is quite old and, if unpatched, there is undefined behavior in the list management. Which usually resulted in infinite loops when trying to join online games. We fixed that two years ago, here would be patches: https://gitlab.com/armagetronad/armagetronad/-/work_items/145#note_1788089440 If that's already included, it may be something else, or a different instance of the same thing not covered by the patch.
