Not a dev here but as I have explained the failure to upgrade is during MarkInstall and MarkDelete of Snap packages. I have attached the apt.log for your review. The solution that worked for me is to purge libmagic (see my previous post), reinstall libmagic, then run upgrade script again after reboot.
