We all want to fix this issue so we need to collaborate and contribute to this bug report. To warmrobot, it's true that launchpad isn't like a forum but your contribution is always welcome. We just need to keep in mind that only cooperative argumentation can't lead to good results. It's never too late to help fixing this issue, you can test the latest Hardy release and make sure that this bug is fixed for your hardware. And if you need help, I'm sure that a lot of people just wait to take the time to look at this problem with you outside of the bug tracker. We just can't use the bug tracker like a forum because it's designed to help developers to gather important informations about bugs and get them fixed.
