Hello Fabio, Thank you for the quick response and for confirming the behavior.
You're right - the missing CPU flags (AVX, AVX2, VAES, etc.) when SEV- SNP is enabled is expected behavior and occurs on both Ubuntu 24.04 and AL2023. I apologize for the oversight. I guess we are just puzzled on the system-level optimizations that might be handling the CPU restrictions differently, causing this performance degradation. Thank you for helping us understand this better. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2095017 Title: SEV-SNP Causes Significant RSA Performance Degradation on Ubuntu 24.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-aws/+bug/2095017/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
