While we are going to investigate this (I've launched some VMs and I can confirm / reproduce the behavior), I would like to ask why do you think the missing CPU flags is relevant here? It was mentioned missing the following flags when SEV-SNP is enabled: AVX AVX2 VAES VPCLMULQDQ FMA XSAVE XSAVEOPT XSAVEC XGETBV1 RDPRU However, those same flags are also missing when we launch a AL2023 instance with SEV-SNP enabled, so I would assume that is expected, no? The biggest difference I saw when comparing Ubuntu 24.04 with and without SEV-SNP and AL2023, is that the invpcid_single is missing on Ubuntu both when SEV-SNP is enabled or disabled, but I'm not sure if this has any relevance here.
