I also have some additional information that may help to narrow down the cause 
of the error:
If the VLC media player is running in the background, which prevents the 
power-down states, the computer can be woken up again by moving the mouse, even 
after a long time. However, the internal display then goes dark after a brief 
‘flicker’.
A similar state is achieved if you wait 5 minutes after dimming the internal 
display and do not move the mouse immediately. In this case, the internal 
display only returns to normal brightness when a key (brighter/darker) is 
pressed on the keyboard.
The external display connected via HDMI works perfectly.
