Public bug reported: Unlike https://bugs.debian.org/2089600 the packages in this bug should be usable without gimp 2. I am requesting their removal anyway to not further delay the gimp 2 -> 3 transition.
They have already been removed from Debian Testing with Release Critical bugs about the need to stop trying to build with gimp 2. gmic is currently unbuildable because of a different issue. mtink needs work done on its Makefiles to build without gimp 2. When these issues are fixed in Debian with a new upload, they will be autosynced back into Ubuntu. $ reverse-depends src:mtink No reverse dependencies found $ reverse-depends -b src:mtink No reverse dependencies found $ reverse-depends -b src:gmic No reverse dependencies found $ reverse-depends src:gmic Reverse-Recommends ================== * gimp-plugin-registry [amd64 arm64 armhf ppc64el riscv64 s390x] * med-imaging-dev (for gmic) ** Affects: gmic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: mtink (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: gmic (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: New ** Affects: mtink (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: New ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #1088321 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1088321 ** Also affects: mtink (Debian) via https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1088321 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Description changed: Unlike https://bugs.debian.org/2089600 the packages in this bug should be usable without gimp 2.
