I think it's important for us to distinguish between the default session in a new install (which is meant to be Wayland), and failing to choose Xorg when Xorg was used in the previous login. The latter sounds like more of a bug, and closer to what was initially reported here.
We'll need to zoom in on the section of the journal showing the login when we expected it to keep choosing Xorg like the previous session, but ended up with Wayland instead. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2080498 Title: Default session type changed from Xorg to Wayland in some installs of 22.04 on Nvidia hybrids since kernel 6.8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/2080498/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
