Hello Daniel,

thanks for looking into this. Actually, what happened first was that the login
screen looked different and asked for a password for a default keyring. But the
correct password was not recognized. Since then I tried to fix the issue with
whatever advice I could find on the internet. I kept trying to upgrade and
update the system. Eventually the system started but it looked totally
different (GUI) and even options in the settings looked like only basic ones.
In the settings I could see a statement the Ubuntu desktop is missing. Then I
tried to install the application Ubuntu Desktop and the result was a desktop
more similar to my original desktop (e.g. all the icons were on the desktop,
the tab was on the left of the screen), however, the options in appearance
settings seem to be limited. Also, device security shows error messages:
hardware does not pass checks, and no protection when the device is started.
Last, when I turn on the laptop it takes at least 2 minutes for the system to
start.
My laptop was bought two years ago from the tuxedo eshop directly ready for
linux installation. The first linux was installed from the USB stick which was
provided by the seller (tuxedo computers provide the latest linux version
tested by them and with fully automatized installation). I suppose the
following updates are automatic. I would be very grateful for any advice on
what to do. Thank you again.
