I just retested and no joy. I won't bother to post any new forensic information as it seems somewhat likely that this bug hasn't been worked on since the initial report. In my experience, when an actual wifi fix is made, a new firmware is made available to go along with any new driver(s). Since this hasn't happened, then I'm not sanguine that any work has actually been done. Unless I see some new evidence to the contrary, my feeling is that the Intel 7260 as used with linux is an orphaned product.
I did try to reopen the issue but was unable to do so. Perhaps if I were the originator of the bug I would be able to do so. No matter, out of sight, out of mind. I've hinted previously at Intel's willful neglect of the N7260 and here is yet more evidence. I don't see the point of marking a bug as resolved by a code fix when a code fix hasn't actually been implemented. My guess at this point is that as Intel's first 801.11ac radio the N7260 has so many problems that fixing them isn't worth the effort. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1913350 Title: Intel Wireless-AC 7260 (rev bb) wifi card crashes randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1913350/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
