Cheers, and thanks to you for your detailed reply and descriptions again. Indeed, based on your descriptions, I don't think any part of it is Firefox-specific, and it may be best to close this and open a new bug under the snapd package with appropriate descriptions (please feel free to include a link to this bug for reference).
As one more thought about this, since you mentioned that some of the machines you deal with are used sporadically and e.g. not >6 hours a day, they may miss the time-based auto-update checks of snapd. As such, something that may help check or verify things would be to specify a 'refresh.timer' for snapd to modify when and how frequently snaps are refreshed. You can read more about this at https://snapcraft.io/docs/managing-updates#refreshtimer I hope this helps. And yes I'll close this bug accordingly, but if any of these issues turns out to be firefox-specific please feel free to add a comment saying so, and reopen the bug. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2074295 Title: Firefox won't auto update on Ubuntu 24.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/2074295/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
