If the issue is fixed with another cherry-pick and not by a revert it would be better 2)In the meantime, I will try and look through the virtualbox subversion repository to find where virtualbox fixed this to see if backporting a fix for virtualbox would be a better route to take. no need to do it, upstream rewritten all the code (for different reasons) and the bug is just not there anymore.
