Today's Ubuntu 24.04 update Brought in from the graphics-drivers PPA the Nvidia driver 555.58.02, updating the previously manually installed 555. In additon, the ubuntu-drivers list output now lists the 550, 550-open, 555, and 555-open drivers, as does the Sotware & Updates/Additional Drivers. There still is a deprecated hwdb warning (bug 2037004) when ubuntu-drivers list is run, but at least the expected drivers are now listed.
