Thanks for the bug report. Please add kernel parameter i915.enable_psr=0
to avoid such problems. You can do so in /etc/default/grub by changing:

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

to

  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.enable_psr=0"

Then run:

  sudo update-grub

and reboot.
