I am getting very similar problems on my new system, MB: Asus P5k-e VID: Asus EN7600GS Silent (Nvidia) MEM: Corsair XMS2 2x2GB DDR2-800 CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz
except in my case, even the keyboard goes out, forcing me to hard reset. as in the other cases, my mouse still moves, but i cannot click. it is strange, it is like my keyboard just turns off, because the lights go out on it. unplugging the devices and plugging them back in doesn't work.
