I don't know what happened, but it looks like a rebuild initramfs (update-initramfs) when installing old plymouth packages (0.9.5git20210323-0ubuntu1) solved the problem. Now plymouth 0.9.5git20210406-0ubuntu1 works as well. I don’t know how it’s connected. The memtest86 memory test did not reveal any problems either.
I am attaching files prevboot-1.txt and prevboot-2.txt with problem, prevboot-3.txt without problem. I do not want to use proprietary nvidia drivers, because they do not support the DRI3 interface and, accordingly, 2D tearing free future and many others. ** Attachment added: "prevboot-2.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1942737/+attachment/5523215/+files/prevboot-2.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942737 Title: Login screen missing, only black screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1942737/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
