Thanks for your help.
I have tried the kernel from #55.
sudo cat /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:58\:00.0/d3cold_allowed  showed "0".
The suspend & resume did end up in a freeze. I have attached dmesg (journalctl 
-k -b -1 on next boot). 
Just as a note I saw the power consumption during suspend was around 1.0W 
compared to 0.5W using the 5.10-oem-1025 and "echo 0 | sudo tee...." from #51. 
This was using an external AC power meter - so it includes the power loss in 
the AC adapter.
