Yes `apport-bug` is available on all Ubuntu and flavor of Ubuntu (eg.
Lubuntu) media for that exact purpose (I don't know about netboot). In
`calamares` you can use ctrl+alt+T to open a terminal & submit the bug
with calamares is still on the display.

Had that have been done, logs would have been attached to the report,
program versions, etc.  As it was live media, rebooting the live media
would have got most of that data anyway (with few exceptions such as the
install logs; your description would have allowed someone to verify &
get around that).

Launchpad will only let the original poster run `apport-collect` so for
others to help, a new bug is filed & this filed as a duplicate (meaning
this becomes the confirmation).

If you still have the installation media; boot it in live mode, and run
from there on your actual hardware... Just note you've done that (ie.
there is explanation as to why install logs don't match your
description).
