Just want to add a "me too". I see this rather annoying error very frequently on an AMD X2 XP3800 w/an Asus motherboard and NVidia graphics using the glx-new drivers.
It happens most often for me when I try to close a tab in firefox, and end up with all of them closed instead. My system ran very stable under the previous releases, but has started to behave quite badly with the 7.10 final release, updated with all the latest patches. I'm running gnome w/ standard ubuntu compiz.
