it's not that ubuntu devs don't care, it's that it's probably likely
that nobody who contributes to ubuntu has this problem, and thus can't
fix the bug.

what can be done is that if you find the specific patch in xen-sources
which fixes it, that patch could be included in a later kernel (e.g. in
Hardy's 2.6.24).
