I had the same issue: Host system freeze whenever a Windows guest VM made it to the login screen. The last thing I could see in journalctl -f was a DHCP exchange with the VM before everything froze.
Solution: Change NIC device model from e1000e to virtio, apply change and boot. No freeze, Windows guest been running about 1 hour now.
