Absolutely, you mentioned bug 1726160 in an earlier comment and it contained a functioning workaround - removing iio-sensor-proxy. The problem seems to originate from systemd mount matrix issues on HP laptops using the lis3lv02d accelerometer, however determining the status of the github issue (and whether it applies to me) is beyond my skills.
