Google was not able to fully translate the spanish to english (my
language) but I think I understand your problem. You need to make sure
you have the dictionary for your language/country installed. You can do
this by going to 'File->Wizards->Install new dictionaries' you may need
to make sure you have the openoffice.org-base package installed since
there is an issue where openoffice will crash if you don't have it
installed.
