There's also https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/warn-before- quit/ , they both work for me in Firefox 41 on Ubuntu 15.04 I have browser.showQuitDialog, browser.showQuitWarning, and browser.warnOnQuit all set to true in about:config.
