Public bug reported:
Hello,
I upgraded from Ubuntu 18.04 to 18.10 by following the 'Software & Updates'
notification. The process completed without any problem.
I meet errors to execute ffmpeg ( version 7:4.0.2-2 ) through the command line :
- ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libva-x11.so.1: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
- ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libva-drm.so.1: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
- ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libx264.so.148: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
- ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libvpx.so.4: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
and the last one after trying to correct with symlink to new shared libraries
- ffmpeg: symbol lookup error: ffmpeg: undefined symbol: x264_encoder_open_148
I would think the ffmpeg package should be recompiled according to
Ubuntu 18.10's new dependencies.
NB : I don't wish to compile and install an duplicate version of this
package over the long term if it can be offered by a Ubuntu package.
Thanks
