I apologize; I should have replied a week ago: I couldn't find a way around the upgrade problem, so I finally did a full install. Thank you for the effort you put into this bug. I tried to update the bug report several times but for some reason I couldn't do so (which itself doesn't make sense). Please close this bug and give "loose nut on the keyboard" as the final solution. Thank you
