Hello Mike, Did you manage to complete the upgrade?
You wrote that you tried to remove any unsupported programs, but were are still some remaining at the time of the upgrade attempt. The upgrade tool produced a list of foreign packages and it is attached to this bug: open the compressed archive https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /ubuntu-release- upgrader/+bug/1787788/+attachment/5177405/+files/VarLogDistupgradeAptclonesystemstate.tar.gz and inside it, see the file var/lib/apt-clone/foreign.pkgs. You could try removing those packages and see if the upgrade becomes possible. ** Changed in: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787788 Title: upgrade xenial --> bionic :cannot compute upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1787788/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
