marvin:

1) When you state "I could only adjust it with the terminal and xrandr",
what terminal command and what do you do with xrandr precisely?

2) To clarify, were you able to adjust the screen brightness prior to
Ubuntu 16.10? If so, which specifically and how?

3) To advise, when changing the Status you don't have to change the
Target Package as linux is a reasonable culprit. Having an empty Package
when changing Status is for reports where the the root cause package
isn't known, and nobody has any idea what to do with it.

** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

** Summary changed:

- OLED X1 yoga lenove, screen ubuntu, brightness issue
+ [Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 1st Gen] Can't change brightness

** Tags removed: regression-potential
** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-v4.17-rc6
