Steve, feel free to reject that upload with the obvious mistake.

Ubuntu GNOME has used a tasksel feature as part of its documentation for a
while and it would be nice if that feature continued to exist. We'd like the
ability to run
sudo apt install vanilla-gnome-desktop^
(note the trailing ^ ) to be able to make sure that all recommended packages
from the metapackage are installed.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ZestyZapus/ReleaseNotes/UbuntuGNOME#Upgrade
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Tasksel#Usage_.28alternative.29

And vanilla-gnome-desktop is for those who want all the core GNOME apps,
the default upstream GDM theming, etc. that obviously is not a goal for
ubuntu-desktop.
