The package in the unapproved queue appears to have a spurious replace-
ubuntu-vanilla-gnome.debdiff in the source.

I am also unclear on the overall rationale for this change.  My
understanding is that ubuntu-gnome is being considered an alias for
ubuntu going forward, and that ubuntu-gnome will not be producing images
for Ubuntu 17.10; but in that case, why do we want vanilla-gnome to be a
top-level option in tasksel?
