Besides, if you have a look at my blog post on this topic (http://www.bononia.it/~zack/blog/posts/2007/10/debian_on_ubuntu_com_just_a_bug.html) you will notice that the "reports" of this issue in the past *might* (of course I'm not sure about that) have been delivered via the wrong channel. This bug report received feedback quite fastly, let's see if this will be the right chance to get this solved, at least from the point of view of the ubuntu website.
