OK. So can we change the status of this bug to "Won't Fix" (as you suggest) on the grounds that the desktop help doesn't cover installation at all (which includes any overview of installation and documentation of any installation-related problems, such as the ones you mentioned above)? If you agree, can you change the bug status?
