Virtualbox has a kernel module, that needs to be updated together with the 
kernel itself.
So, if you want, you can:
1) update virtualbox from my ppa
2) change the code to match the new kernel by using virtualbox-source
3) keep the old kernel.

virtualization *is* special :)
