I am affected by this bug as well. I have a Samsung Ativ book 8 with Ati/Intel hybrid graphics. The workaround by peterriesde works for me (Thanks for that!). Thus turning off the ATI part allows to suspend with the official kernel.
In my opinion this should be fixed urgently.
