I could try to bisect https://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-kernel- test/ubuntu/+source/linux/+git/mainline-crack ,which is the base for the 4.6.0-997-generic intel-drm-next. A quick search suggests a list of 4-5 possible commits.
Should this be done?
