Thanks, Marco for sending your config file. I cannot reproduce the problem on Debian on my computer.
But I've searched the net and found: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-themes/+bug/1332100 Seems to be related to using QT-applications on unity. The link above shows some workarounds. Please let me know if one of them works for you, so that we can close this bug, as it does not seem to be caused by TeXstudio.
