To reproduce:
1) /usr/bin/ds9 -unix_only &
(Note: the -unix_only is not required in order to reproduce the bug,
it's just more secure to run ds9 that way; I get the same symptoms with
-inet_only and IMTDEV=unix:5137:localhost.)
2) /iraf/iraf/unix/hlib/cl.csh
vocl> display dev$pix 1
(or issue the same command from within PyRAF; it doesn't matter)
Instead of displaying an image of M51 as it should, ds9 enters an
infinite loop chewing >90% of the CPU cycles and printing out "Error:
IIS iisIO problems" in cl's terminal window.
