I tried this and was asked to file the bug upstream to the kernel developers because it is not an Ubuntu package. Do you want me to do this?
Related item: I have now seen this same bug: "Bad page state in process xampp-linux-x64 pfn:1b9e24" when using Ubuntu 15.04 with the stock Ubuntu kernel. Now I am wondering if this is related to my use of a skylake processor.
