With the new kernel image, the system now fails to login. When I get the password prompt, I enter it, the screen displays random colors for a brief moment, then I get the login again. The system will not proceed to my desktop. Syslog reports only the following:
gnome-session [2087] : CRITICAL : We failed, but the fail whale is dead. Sorry.... Xorg logs contain no useful information. I find it amusing that even the gnome error messages are dumbed down to the point of being useless.
