I was able to reproduce the issue. The installer modifies the disk
before prompting the user to confirm the updates. There are some more

  If you select "Erase System Disk" and "Enable LVM" option and
  "Continue". The installer will erase any current LVM information in your
  partitions. After this, you are prompted with "Are you sure you want to
  continue" warning. At this selecting "Cancel" is of no use, because the
  next reboot the system will fail to boot because the LVM info was
  changed incorrectly.
  
  I expect the "Cancel" operation to leave my disk unmodified. Thanks.
