Can you please be a bit more specific why this is a problem?
And *what* recommends you are talking about?
        texlive-lang-japanese?
        -chinese?
        -korean?
        ruby?
        latex-cjk-all?

You could be more specific *what* the problem is ... what files
do gs need from which package. That would help.
