I have this problem now with a DELL Vostro 1500 with SigmaTel STAC9205 and kernel 2.5.16 (Feisty 7.04). When I plug-in headphone jack, speakers are not disabled... If I reboot with headphone plugged in, only headphone works... the speakers are totally disabled, plugging out headphone too.
