Confirmed the issue occurs with updated bios A04 and Ubuntu kernel. re-testing with upstream kernel. My config is a bit different than the one Kent describes, e.g. NVIDIA/Intel dual-mode graphics, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, etc. USB wake is disabled in the BIOS (has been all along)
